How do universities, colleges, and k-12 schools approach teaching writing, develop writing cultures, and provide support for students and faculty as writers?  This question drives my consulting work with schools in the United States and abroad. Some of the most important work I have done outside my own program has been with teachers, administrators, programs, institutions, and districts to make purposeful and feasible decisions for themselves, given their resources and goals.  Below is a list of schools with whom I have been privileged to work, many through the Institute for Writing and Thinking at Bard College; others independently.  As a consultant, I create original workshops, professional development seminars, and talks for small and large groups across disciplines and educational levels.   If you would like to ask about how I might work with your group, please get in touch.
